About Volkmann Appliance

Volkmann Appliance is a second generation locally owned family business. My father, James Volkmann founded the company in 1982, when he purchased the remaining appliance inventory of H. Choate & Company. My wife and I took over ownership of the store from my father in 1997. We currently own and operate the business with help from our children, Kalene & Chris. We have hands on involvement in the daily operations of the business from sales, service to delivery.

Volkmann Appliance is a member of the national buying group, BrandSource. BrandSource has a large membership and which allows individual dealers to combine their buying needs to provide our customers with the best selection at low prices.

We are members of Winona community and enact with many of customers on a regular basis, they are our friends and family. We sell only appliances we feel they can trust. Our sales staff does not work on commission; they are instructed to fit the appliance to the customers individual needs.

My wife and I support the community through involvement in a number of community, church and school groups. All Volkmann employees are encouraged to also be involved in community groups supporting their personal interests. Volkmann Appliance is proud to support the local community through charitable donations and in-kind service.
